Settling the Score
Justice, Retribution... Revenge. By Aussie Lass. DISCLAIMER : I do not own any of the characters. "The Magnificent Seven" belong to MGM and Trilogy Entertainment. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’d be a happy woman if Vin belonged to me.....but no such luck. I have not made any profit out of writing this, so please don’t sue me. It would not be worth your while.
Author Comment: This story has had a long and unsettled journey. It started out as a "Hell of a Shot" story, but it just wasn't working. I had tried to amalgamate two ideas and... what a mess! After much soul searching (I had already written 200 pages) I decided to see if I could salvage it. So "Settling the Score" has been cut, reworked, cut again, chucks added, chunks deleted... and generally kicked around. Now it is finished. I hope it has turned out okay. I have absolutely no medical knowledge, so please excuse the gross inaccuracies that I am sure are in this story. Special Thanks: Thank you to Mady for your honest comments and for finding the errors... to Vicki for listening to me when the story wasn't working... to Debbie for taking the time to read, comment and offer advice... to Rhicy for being delightfully crazy...and to Darla, who rode the journey - in this case, many, many journeys as I kept changing it - with me and whose words of support sent me scurrying back to the computer to write more - thank you. Girls, I am in your debt.
Settling the Score: Revenge, Justice and Retribution: The boys have to run a few 'errands' for Judge Travis. The first involves running some bandits out of a town six days' ride from Four Corners. The other leads them stranded in a different town and under attack... or are they? Chris finds himself contending with a mystery enemy, J.D.'s ghost hunt, Buck's flailing animal magnetism, a friend from Josiah's past, an unimpressed gambler and an ill tracker. Thank, God, for Nathan! Character Focus: The Seven Rating: Teen Length: about 230 pages
